What is a diamond saw used for?

Diamond saws are widely used in different industries such as the semi-conductor industry, construction industry, and in the gemstone industry.

Diamond blades are being used in these saws and they are made of 2 components, the steel core and the segment.

A steel core serves as the support part. It is typically a round flat metal disc used to support the outer segments while the segment serves as the cutting part. The segment has 2 parts the diamond and the metal bonds.

The diamond used is manufactured or synthetic so that key characteristics like crystal shape, size, and strength can be closely controlled through the manufacturing process. This will result in accurate prediction of cutting speed and blade life as well as consistent repeatability.

There are 3 important factors to consider about diamonds in the blade, the amount, the quality, and the size of the diamonds in the segment.
